The best resume is the one which is reader friendly. The recuiter should not face any difficulty finding information and understanding them. No grammatical, language,formatting or typo errors.
There is no harm in making your resume look fancy but not at the cost of logic & readability of it. The base, that is, easy reading & finding experience, should not be hampered.
A length of two pages would be excellent and three pages would be good. Any page further would impact negatively. The best way to curtail a cv’s length is to remove insignificant and illogical elements.
For example: Prizes won at dance contest or detailing your first job experience 10 years ago.
Read the Job description and describe the likewise roles and responsibilities you had. Possibly, a couple of last firms. For the rest, give a short snapshot.

Absolutely. A career objective is superimposing what you possess to what they need. It is your objective (goal) of employment. It will make you look promising in the eys of recruiters even though you may be a newbie.
It is not mandatory. But if you have it on your resume, it would be an add on. ‘Confidence’ is what their eyes wish to see. So, even if you are insecure about your looks, it does not matter. At least there must be one pic in which you look confident. Use that. Crop it so that the informal attire may not be visible.
An easy answer is: they are same. But if you wish to dive into the depth of it, there is a slight difference based on location and length. Most US firms will call it ‘Resume’. Mainly for the purpose of jobs. But in case you are into academic research, what you use is a curriculum vitae.
While in UK and mostly Europe, a CV is preferred over resume. Since India has mostly US MNCs, the term “resume” is prevalent.
Why not? Having a short lived experience may make a recruiter doubt your stability but you can always give a reason supporting it. Avoiding/concealing that experience would be even worst as you will have to then show gap for that tenure. I would explain it like this.

Not really. You can use the email body as an alternative. But if you have not mentioned much in it, go for cover letter.
